Overview

AMTD Foundation is a charitable organization founded in 2016 by Calvin Choi, Chairman and President of AMTD Group. Upholding AMTD Group’s spirit of “Nurturing the society and serving the community”, AMTD Foundation is committed to serving the society, supporting the cause of charity and helping people in need in Hong Kong and across the world. Currently, AMTD Foundation supports various charity events and organizations, the sponsorship of Caritas Charity TV Show for 10 consecutive years, being a key supporter of amfAR (The Foundation for AIDS Research), one of the world’s leading non-profit organisations on AIDS research, as well as the launch of a talent incubation program in collaboration with National Chengchi University in Taiwan and Singapore Management University. AMTD has entered into strategic partnerships with The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Waterloo in Canada respectively, for the establishment of “AMTD FinTech Centre of PolyU Faculty of Business” and “University of Waterloo - AMTD Innovation Hub”, to promote social welfare, medical research, education and corporate social responsibility.

AMTD is the first Hong Kong financial institution to join UN Global Compact, the largest global citizenship framework since 2016, to support 10 principles in the 4 fields of “Human Rights”, “Labour”, “Environment” and “Anti-corruption” and is committed to further promoting the corporate social responsibility around the globe and contributing to the sustainable societal development.

AMTD Group has set up AMTD Foundation to fulfil its commitment of giving back to the society and upholding its social responsibility, to promote education, relieving poverty, and supporting people in need in Hong Kong and across the world. In special recognition of our constant contribution to the society over these years, the Hong Kong Council of Social Services has awarded AMTD Group as the “10+ Caring Company”. The Group and The Foundation will commit to the responsibility of corporate citizenship and continue to strengthen community care.
